We have not looked at this in detail before but our lives are really just like any roadway within our towns, cities and state. What we mean here as a comparison is that not unlike our roadways and freeways our lives are also full of hidden potholes. Life is quite similar to a trip down any road. It has detours and it has dangers. It is like a peaceful travel with no incidents when suddenly along comes that pothole that causes a disruption in our trip of life. It is just like that big old pothole in the roads we travel and it is causing us an immediate distress because it is very disturbing and very uncomfortable. So what is this sudden pothole in our lives anyway? It is something that is jumping up in front of our faces and is blocking our progress to our goals. Just to point out a few let’s look at how your life will produce potholes that are blocking you progress. Without considering the present situation of the recession and the effects it is providing for us in the way of our home ownership we find that this is very distressing to our lives and during the process there are a large multitude of incidents that are jumping up in front of our face. These are in the form of all of the ways that are creating more ways to reduce or capture our income and cause us to progress into that dark area provided by such a pothole incident. All of the incidents we have written about in these posts are just some of those potholes that we have in our lives. If you have read these and are absolutely relating to them then they are your potholes and just reading about them will not solve them and put them in a place where they will no longer interfere with your life’s progress. As human beings we are very prone to failure. We deal with this status most of our lives. We fail more than we succeed. Here is how the failure process usually works with most of us. We have dreams and we have visions about obtaining large amounts of money to live on. We work hard at the job, often ones we don’t really like, and we try to get the most income possible from that job. But things just don’t seem to be working for us. We hear everyone telling us that we just need to settle down and quit dreaming and just live on what we are making from our jobs. But inside us all is that primal desire to become financially independent. We all have times when this is our real dream in this life. Where do we get this idea from anyway? Well, to the best of my ability I figure we get it from knowing and reading about other people that have venture forth and is either in their way to financial independence or are already well into that process. That is what we really want out of life. Now here is the kicker in this process. We fear that if we try to do like the successful ones do then we may fail. We actually fear failure because we feel it will cause us to develop a very bad self image about our ability to perform in a way that will be our success path. We stew over this so much that we actually generate our failure before we even try to see if we can succeed. So in reality we are afraid to try to succeed so we actually create our failure in the process. This makes the situation a fail/fail process that puts us in a position of saying “what’s the use, we will fail anyway”. Given all this information we create two different failure possibilities. One can be real and the other is totally false and this one is the most damaging to our futures and our lives. If we give the process our best effort we can succeed. Sure, we may find some barriers in the process, but then everyone has these barriers. They are just all different ones. They are hardly ever the same between two people. Overcome these barriers and your Path to success increases in your favor. Recognize and eliminate the barriers is the way of progress in any venture. This failure, if it really happens, is a failure where you will learn what not to do and some of what to do. Mistakes are the best teachers’ we ever have. At any rate you are working on a path that will override your fears of failure even if you fail in your venture. Now the second part of the failure is the one where you just decide to quit trying anything. This is the biggest failure because it in dead set against your core dreams and desires. You are giving up just because you are afraid to do the venture. The real truth is that if you can decide what the fear is you can deal with it effectively. The second part of this fear segment is either the fear of failure in the venture or you are afraid of success. You may not realize it but there is a lot of us out here that actually fear success because of some previous life incident that is causing you to fear the process of success. You can recognize this fear easily if you look at how you react when success is showing its head above the waters. If you find you are sabotaging the success process then your fear is going to be the fear of success. No doubt about this. It is now your truth and this is all you really need to look at to get back in the game of winning that income of cash you really want. Often times it will take a coaching session to help you find what your fear really is. Then the coach can get you through that fear and put you in the path to success. That’s what everyone really feels in their dreams process and the associated actions taken or avoided. Actions taken can lead to success; actions avoided are self defeat in your life and your entire future happiness is at stake here. In these days of unemployment and dangers of losing income the credit card is becoming the answer to the possible problem. Many credit card holders are using the credit card to make the ends meet. The results are an increase on credit card debt that will leave the cardholders in a position where they will eventually have to file for bankruptcy. When this happens the cardholder will have 10 years of bad and probably unrepeatable credit reporting problems that will keep them from a lot of purchases that can only be made through credit sources. Among these are the credit cards they hold. Now is the time to deal with these situations and get the credit card debt under controls. In our last post we talked about PTSD. There are a multitude of incidents in our lives that are right on the edge of being considered PTSD. These are treatable events that can improve your life when they are dealt with and you are coached through them to the point where they are no longer a barrier. Almost everyone alive has some childhood incidents that are still with them and they often crop up when certain triggers are present and they can cause the total halting of you ever reaching the goals you want to reach. Some are centered on your money issues. If your parents were constantly struggling with their money then you have taken on this trait. Keeping this in your life will impede your progress to living a more fuller and abundant life and can actually prevent you from reaching the success you are seeking. We have dealt with a lot of these issues and a lot of them are associated with your childhood and other incidents from your youth. We find these within you and we help you treat them until they are removed from your progress. I personally have dealt with these same issues during my training and have assisted in helping others in the training program deal with their issues. This experience is the basis for my coaching success. These incidents, when they appear in a business process, can keep your business from growing and prospering. If we help with these your business blockage will be removed and your progress will continue.
